Open House Picnic (Grades 9-12) – May 22, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Hosted in our beautiful North Haledon Campus courtyard, the HS Open House Picnic is a casual opportunity to get to know the heart of ECHS through the people and their calling. The picnic will include a brief welcome/introduction with our Head of School, Director of Enrollment, and HS Principal. Next visitors will have the opportunity to mix and mingle for 20-30 minutes with ECHS admin, teachers, and students to learn about various programs and opportunities, including athletics, college and career, and educational support services and more while also enjoying a few snacks.
Guests will also have the option to take a tour if they haven’t done so prior or linger a bit longer to further connect with our amazing and passionate leadership team. Following the picnic, guests are also welcome to browse the EC high school Art show and music concert.

Opportunities to Visit
Open Houses & Visit Events
Attending an open house or other visit event is a great way to explore programs, facilities, and meet EC faculty & staff! These events typically feature a tour of the campus, explanation of the academic programs and student opportunities, and time to meet administrators, the enrollment team, and teachers.
Personal & Group Tours
Meet with a member of our enrollment team and take a tour of any of our beautiful EC campuses and learn about the many programs EC offers.
Student Shadows
Come walk a mile in our talons! Prospective students may visit Eastern Christian School and experience a day in the life of an eagle. EC student hosts are trained in hospitality and offer a great introduction to our school’s culture and atmosphere. We can’t wait to welcome you to campus! Open to students currently in grades K-10.
Shadow days are generally available from September 25 – June 1. Students exploring grades 1-8 must initiate their application to EC prior to scheduling a shadow day.
High School Preview Day
All Eastern Christian School eighth grade students and up to 35 eighth graders from other schools will get a fun and informative introduction to our high school! Visitors are escorted by EC students through a peer-led tour of the campus and introduction to the facilities, classes, programs, teachers, and more. Visitors enjoy a large extra-curricular fair, snacks, and join in our weekly worship. We intentionally limit our count for this day in order to maintain a personal connection for every guest. Only 35 spots are available, and spots typically fill up quickly.
